Patricia Litho, PhD

Board Member

Is a specialist in gender, media and ICTs. She holds a PhD in Innovation and cultural studies from the School of Social Sciences and Cultural Studies, University of East London (UK). Her PhD thesis was “ICTs and the ‘empowerment’ of women in rural Uganda.” Dr. Litho has a Master of Arts in Communications with a bias in Business Communication from Schiller International University (London, UK).She is a lecturer at Makerere University where she is also Coordinator for the MA programme, and supervises students’ research at both Masters and PhD level. Between 2003 and 2007, she taught at the University of East London, UK. She lectured on ICTs for Development in the global context and study skills at the School of Social Sciences, Media and Cultural Studies and taught Sociology of Childhood, Children and the media at the School of Education and Community Studies
