Ayeta Wangusa is a communications expert with 20 years’ experience in media and communication advisory practice with three development organisations in Tanzania and in the print media in Uganda. She is co-founder and Executive Director of Culture and Development East Africa (CDEA), a creative think tank in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and a member of the expert facility of 2005 UNESCO Convention on the governance of culture, which includes policies and measures for the digital environment. She holds a BA (Hons) in Literature and Sociology, a Masters degree in Literature from Makerere University, and a Masters degree in New Media, Governance and Democracy from the University of Leicester, UK. She is currently undertaking PhD study in Media and Communication Research hosted at CAMEo – Research Institute for Cultural and Media Economies at the University of Leicester, UK.
