Zakaria Tanko Musah

Lecturer/Legal Counsel, Ghana Institute of Journalism

Zakaria Tanko Musah is an academicwho lectures in Business Law; Media Law and Ethics; Investigative Journalism/Court Reporting; Community Journalism and Political Communications. He is also a Barrister-at-Law- England & Wales and Ghana, as well as a Journalist. He also advises the Ghana Institute of Journalism on matters of law and governance.

Additionally, he is one of the Board of Directors of the Africa Centre for International Law and Accountability having previously worked as the Co-ordinator/Chief Executive Officer of Sheffield Black Minority Ethic Network Ltd. He has also been a Board Member and Communications Director of Sheffield Racial Equality Council and Sheffield Law Centre all in the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Bar Council of England and Wales; Lincoln’s Inn; The Association of Muslim Lawyers all in the UK; Human Rights Lawyers Association, Commonwealth Lawyers Association, Society of Legal Scholars; Ghana Bar Association, Ghana Journalists Association and the University Teachers Association of Ghana.
