Thomas Sithole

Executive Director, Plumtree Development Trust

Thomas Sithole is a Zimbabwean Civil Society (CSO) leader and Executive Director of Plumtree Development Trust (PDT). His organization works mostly with grass root communities to help empower them access their communication related rights including advocating for an open, accessible and healthy Internet. He is also a Mozilla Open Leaders fellow passionate about amplification of marginalized communities.Additionally, he uses his skills to advance youth development and empowerment expert through the coordination of a youth exchange program, Fostering Youth Participation in Civic Transformation (FOYOPACT) between his organization (PDT) and Centre for Media Literacy and Community Development (CEMCOD) in Uganda.

He is also a Media and Information Literacy (MIL) advocate and is co- founder of Zimbabwe Centre for Media and Information Literacy (ZCMIL) that hosts the annual Zimbabwe New Media Summit.
