Dr Ololade Shyllon
Human Rights Lawyer, Independent Consultant
Dr Ololade Shyllon is a human rights lawyer and independent consultant with expertise in shaping public policy on the human rights implications of technology and innovation in Africa. She has over a decade’s experience providing technical legal support to the mandate of the Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information in Africa of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
This includes managing and participating in the development of continental standards such as the Model Law on Access to Information for Africa and the Guidelines on Access to Information and Elections in Africa. She is currently playing a leading role in the development of the revised Declaration of Principles on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information in Africa, by the African Commission.
