Betty Abah

Director, CEE-Hope

Betty Abah is an award-winning Nigerian journalist, women and children’s rights activist and social media activist. She is the Founder of CEE-HOPE, a child’s right and development NGO.

She has won several local and international awards including the Nigeria Media Merit Awards, the Diamond Awards for Media Excellence (DAME), the Red Ribbon Awards for HIV Reporting, the Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting etc.

Her international awards include the Alfred Friendly Press Fellowships, USA, the John Knight Health Reporting Fellowship , the Kaiser Family Foundation Fellowship, the Global Tobacco Control Leadership Program at Johns Hopkins University, USA, RiseUp Fellow among others.

Abah has authored five books including Go Tell Our King (poetry), Sound of Broken Chains (poetry) and Mother of Multitudes (biography).
