The annual Forum on Internet Freedom in Africa (FIFAfrica) is a landmark event hosted by the Collaboration on International ICT Policy for East and Southern Africa (CIPESA).
The Forum convenes a spectrum of stakeholders from across the internet governance and digital rights arenas in Africa and beyond to deliberate on gaps, concerns and opportunities for advancing privacy, free expression, inclusion, the free flow of information, civic participation and innovation online.
FIFAfrica focuses solely on internet freedoms and rights and provides a forum for the critical participation of a diverse range of stakeholders.
FIFAfrica recognizes the most significant concerns and difficulties pertaining to internet rights that must be addressed at the national and regional levels.
FIFAfrica’s four-day schedule includes panels, workshops, exhibitions, and presentations.
The diversity of FIFAfrica attendees contributes to the depth of discussions, workshops, and debates.
The recognition the diverse needs, interests, and viewpoints of its stakeholders is one of FIFAfrica’s key tenets.
